What are Excavation Idler
A track assembly for a track-supported vehicle, such as an excavator, comprising a driven sprocket, a rigid chassis extending forwardly from the sprocket and supporting the body of the vehicle, the chassis being supported by a series of linearly-arranged rollers, and an idler assembly comprising a rigid connecting member and an idler pulley. The connecting member is rotatably mounted to a front portion of the chassis and extends forwardly, and the idler pulley is rotatably mounted to the front portion of the connecting member. The bottom of the idler wheel is lower than the bottom of the roller wheel, and the bottom of the idler wheel is higher than the bottom of the roller wheel. An endless track forms a circuit around the sprocket, the roller and the idler.
